I don't have pictures, but I definitely wore neon colors, slap braclets, hightops, and I rolled the bottom of my jeans. I think I even used to tie my shirts in a knot on the side. Oh man, I'm so glad I dont have pictures.

Remember those sparkly jeans? They had some sort of glitter woven into them....sometimes they would also double dye them so they would be a dark weird color. I hope I'm not the only one who remembers those! At one time....I wouldn't buy any jeans unless they had that sparkle!

Big ass t-shirts with those rubberish belts around your waist. And those funky plastic things you would use to tie your shirt over to the side instead of actually making a knot in it. Oooh, and stirrup pants. Eeeeewwwww...

Alright, yo, here it is. Crimped hair, jelly sandals (I think the 80's must have been the decade of stinky feet, what with everyone wearing loafers w/o socks!), huge puff-painted tee-shirt and day-glo stirrups. That was me. Oh, yeah, remember the colored mascara? I wore that. Yeah, I was fond of the lavender variety. And can anyone think of an era with BIGGER earrings? Maybe I was lame for wearing that shizzy, but I still got boyfriends.

I was THE 80's chick. If it was on MTV it was for me. Long hair in the front bleached blonde with a pink streak and short black hair in the back. AND A TAIL.
Ankle boots, jeans so tight at the ankles I needed help to get them on, and of course the ONE earring, the beret, the long black coat worn even in the summer, heavy makeup.
The sad part is that I looked better than in the early 90's when I went perm and spandex!

I was born in '79 but my sisters & brother were much older and their outfits were awful (altho i was so jelous that I couldnt wear them)I myself wore 2 different pairs of colored socks. remember suede boots? my sisters had purple, red, mustard yellow and they used to fight over them. I remember CRYING to wear my sisters LACE HEADBAND...she also wore light blue eyeliner on the LOWER lid. in the 80's my brother was considered a "STUD" but he wore SHORT SHORTS I swear u could see the WHOLE outline of his manhood..what kind of time were we living in? eew! but I got one... FRED FLINSTONE and BARNEY RUBBLE bottles? my mom saved my fred one! "FEATHERED HAIR" aaah asian mikey SO FUNNY!

Actually, I miss some of the 80s fashion. It was so convenient to just throw your hair back into a banana clip and go! And shoe selection? Come on -- all any true 80s American girl had to do was open her closet and there would be Sam & Libby's in absolutely any color of the rainbow (they were cheap as hell). Or if you were going for the more "sporty" look you had your pick of many solid or multi-colored Converses! Everything matched!! -- I say, "Bring back the banana clips and Sam and Libby's!"
