Kat.... Good Lord. My kids are very well behaved, but when they were babies, guess what? THEY CRIED IN PUBLIC. Can you believe that? I ALLOWED my INFANT CHILD to cry and disturb the superior people who HATE KIDS.

And I am talking about people who hate kids, not people who choose to not have kids.

I know what you are saying about the babies and stuff but even after years of teaching them to behave and open doors and ladies first and all that jazz, people, mostly older women who you would assume respect that I taught the boys some manners, are the ones who get angry at me.
They think it's improper that I bring them anywhere and allow them to have conversations with people.
What bugs me most is people assume because they are pre-teen boys, that are future felons. I know a woman who actually calls kids FFA's. Future felons of america. Funny yes but when they are talking about your kid with great grades and never any problems, not so funny. I hate crotchety people with a passion.

You see the problem is that there are parents that actually allow their children to behave so inappropriately in public. I've sat down in a restaurant before to have children running back and forth with out any supervision. It is disrespectful and inappropriate. Not of the children, however, of the parents. I don't hate children, in fact, I love them, but parents need to do their job and part of that job is teaching children social behaviors. As in, how to behave in public, vs. how to behave at home or outside or at school, etc....

Old reader, never posted. I know who you're talking about and I thought the same thing when I read her post, what a bitch. IF she doesn't like people with children then she shouldn't go to a public restaurant. Or maybe she should have went to a restaurant that only caters to couples.

Hi Yvonne! Looks like Marissa is trying to start some shit between us! She's over at an entry that I made yesterday about some very ill-behaved children when I went out to dinner yesterday accusing me of all sorts of things making a general nuisance of herself.

Somehow little Marissa got the idea that I took the post down: "Put your post back up, I'm sure all the folks over at agedandconfused.com would love to read it." For anyone who would like to read and comment, I'll provide a link.

This post is about people who think I don't have a right to bring my kids with me to places because THEY hate kids. My kids are not only well behaved, but respectful and kind and people still think I don't have the right to take them with me as I go about my daily life. Tough shit, people, they are MY kids.

Why can't there just be LOVE in the bloggy world?!?! :)

However, I am often uneasy around them, but probably only because I've never spent much time around kids. Anywho, I really dislike parents who cannot control their children in social situations. If my parents were able to get us to behave, well, then why can't other parents do so?

I don't mind kids anywhere except where it's REALLY inappropriate to bring them...
