And if you think I'm being serious, you would be mostly wrong.

It's been almost TWO DAYS since I've posted, but hey, who's counting?

Apparently, I am. And apparently? I am the ONLY ONE.

I totally expected to log on and find a bunch of "Oh my GOD, why haven't you posted? Are you ok? What about your kids? Are they sick? Have you been at the hospital getting x-rays done on their little chestesess because they can't breathe? Is that why you haven't posted? Or is your husband home from work because it's windy at work and he's all up in yo' grill again, trying to oppress your right as a grown adult to use the computer? What about you? I hope you're not bleeding so damn badly from where babies come out that you're not all weak and shit and feeling like fainting all the damn time!" comments... But, Nooooooo

Two days, people. That's like, 2 months in blog time.

But guess what?

NOT ONE PERSON EVEN NOTICED. So, what you're saying is "hey, Y, if you quit blogging, LIFE WOULD GO ON, get over yourself!"? IS THAT IT?

And you say you "care about me".

What EVER.

I have an excuse!

I've been in jail for "touching it in public." She had the nerve to press charges!

Posted by: ben at January 18, 2005 02:01 PM

OOOOH the drama.

We noticed, I just figured you were busy with the family doing fun things over the holiday weekend or you were like me and dealing with sick kids and barely had time to breathe.

Posted by: Mieke at January 18, 2005 02:01 PM

i was unconcious for the last two days... yeah, that's my excuse.

Posted by: geeky at January 18, 2005 02:08 PM

I have no excuse. If I had known I was missing out on gems like "Touching it in public" I would have been here! That made me pee my pants. Also not good to do in public.

Posted by: Tammy at January 18, 2005 02:30 PM

Uh... uh... excuse... um... hrm.... oh!

I usually lurk anyway, so I was really worried! I just couldn't come out and SAY so... its like a socializing disorder! yeah!

No no! wait! I was abducted by aliens! Dude. Two words. Anal probe. [three - ow.]

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Posted by: Lessa at January 18, 2005 02:39 PM

I've been lurking but then you recently said blogging isn't important so i just took it as a snub.

Posted by: sarcastic journalist at January 18, 2005 02:49 PM

Here's my confession:

I have gotten myself addicted to so many blogs (people's lives) that I am actually GLAD when people don't post every day. Because I would read them, or try to. So when people don't post every day I don't have as much reading to do.

Sigh. I'm a sad, sad addict. It's better than heroin, it is.

Just don't go not posting for a whole week because then we WOULD get all worried.

Posted by: Chasmyn at January 18, 2005 02:56 PM

I'm still reeling from the belly-rubbing post. ..

Posted by: etherian at January 18, 2005 02:59 PM

Sarcastic Journalist... are you being sarcastic?

And really? I said blogging wasn't important? Hm, that must have been the ONE DAY I smoked crack.

Posted by: y at January 18, 2005 03:00 PM

I noticed! I look over at the livebookmark courtesy of RSS, and think "Damned woman, doesn't she realize i'm working on the weekend and need cute-baby, farting, and breast-story distractions?"

I just figured you were out having fun with the kids, drinking lattes, and living that exorbitant not-chained-to-the-computer lifestyle that I so envy. :)

So what the heck were you doing, and why'd you torment me so?

Posted by: sara at January 18, 2005 03:08 PM

(psst, sara, that's exactly what I was doing, but I just love getting dramatic from time to time here because sometimes? I need to think there are people out there who just can't live without me.)

Posted by: y at January 18, 2005 03:11 PM

I noticed too, but was thinking that you were all into your Dr. Phil book and doing "you" stuff, which made me think "I (totally) CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT YVONNE. I'm trying not to expect it, but I need some unexpected joy".

Posted by: Sara at January 18, 2005 03:49 PM

we can't

Posted by: Mieke at January 18, 2005 03:50 PM

I noticed, I figured you were busy with sumthin'.

:D

Posted by: Stacey at January 18, 2005 04:23 PM

*cannot decide whether or not its wise to admit that I have checked ATLEAST twice a day to see if you have posted*....I've been keeping myself distracted from your LACK of posts by reading back entries of Dooce :)

*waves*

Nice to see you back! :)

Posted by: Lucky at January 18, 2005 04:37 PM

and it's been a long, painful, joyless two days.

I care.

Posted by: Chelle at January 18, 2005 05:55 PM

I assumed you were busy touching yourself in public again....

*leans back*

Posted by: sphinx at January 18, 2005 06:25 PM

I didn't notice because I had taken a holiday weekend. Now I'm back to blogrolling again.

Posted by: Wendy at January 18, 2005 06:53 PM

I haven't posted in forever! I haven't read your page in as log. Sorry, I seriously had to take a break from the land of blog on all fronts. I got blog burnout, a real bad case of it. I'll slowly make my way back. I hope special sauce is doing well!!!!

Posted by: Joe at January 18, 2005 09:21 PM

um, I have been packing and planning a drive cross country move, with three kids. Freaking driving. Moving from sunny warm CA to freaking freezing Boston! I so wish I had a lap top. I would just keep refreshing every time I stopped to pee, and leave you lots and lots of comments! But it looks like it might be a couple of weeks before I even get to get email after this comment. I can't do it. I will go into withdrawals with out seeing that cute angel baby on your blog everyday!

Posted by: just me at January 18, 2005 09:32 PM

Man, I was afraid you were out living LIFE! I was afraid I'd seem pathetic for asking, cuz I don't have one!!! :(

Posted by: Rachael & Eva at January 18, 2005 10:11 PM

Okay...don't go, please don't ever leave us again. Write every day, twice a day....maybe even three times a day.

Of course we missed you!

Posted by: Lujza at January 18, 2005 11:11 PM

OK, this is how addicted I am. It's 5:15 AM. I signed my kids out of school yesterday. I don't need to be up for two more hours to finish packing. I couldn't sleep. My computer is going to be unplugged this morning. I will not be able to read a blog for almost two weeks! Someone needs to start a Blogaholics meeting. Hey we could start a blog about it! Ya, sounds good to me! LOL. Take care and blog away so I have lots to catch up on when I finally get to sign on again! And I can't get into my gmail account for some reason. Dang it.

Posted by: just me at January 19, 2005 05:18 AM

Yes, I missed you. And I kept checking to see if you had posted! You have made the lean list of "best blogs" under my Favorites tab. There are only seven of those, and two are people I know in real life, so they don't really count.

Posted by: anne at January 19, 2005 05:32 AM

what is sarcasm?

Posted by: Sarcastic Journalist at January 19, 2005 06:20 AM

Hey Y, sorry I haven't checked in, my kids are sick, I spent the whole day at the emergency room. They both had to have their chests x rayed because they can't breathe. Then when I got home the man was on his high horse and would let me use the computer, then I got the period from hell, I even passed out from the pain and blood loss. :) I noticed you were gone, I just never got around to emailing you. If you stopped blogging, my life wouldn't go on. Who would I read while I drank my morning coffee? Who's stories would I laugh at until I peed a little? Where would I get all my Christmas wrapping paper? and mostly who would I learn about stuffing enchiladas from??

Posted by: robynf at January 19, 2005 07:09 AM

are you whining and being dramatic? of course we noticed. remember, when you changed domains? how many people wanted the new information within like 12 hours? many.. but it's good you got around to updating today, may i say drama queen?

Posted by: kim at January 19, 2005 08:59 AM

Shit, girl, it's been a whole day since you posted! What's up? YO!

(and Lessa needs to tell us how we can find out more about the anal aliens. Seriously.)

Posted by: ben at January 19, 2005 09:14 AM

I noticed! And I missed you!

I never comment, so I didn't want to freak you out!

But, I missed you and I'm glad you're back and blogging!

Posted by: Jessie Street at January 19, 2005 09:15 AM

"are you whining and being dramatic?"

Isn't that obvious? But, like, I was J-O-K-I-N-G.

Get it?

Posted by: y at January 19, 2005 09:50 AM

Get it?

let's just say i DID read the title. and i DID think the post was funny, miss drama queen ;o) (smiley, so you know i'm joking) ;o))

Remember me?

About Y
My name is Y, but you can call me "Jesse's girl." I am an Aerobic Dancer and have mastered many moves, but the one I am the most proud of is "The Monkey." I have three kids. ALL FROM THE SAME DAD (Because, did you know someone actually asked me that question?) A 15 year old son, a 11 year old son and a 4 year old daughter who was not planned but who is loved more than words could ever express. I am addicted to Starbucks, reality TV and to getting really good deals through coupons and "club member" savings (Please, respect The Costco Card.) I am extremely competive and if you don't believe me, just ask my husband about the time I sold him out to win a game of Taboo. If you're waiting for the part where I speak of my love for walks on the beach or slow dancing in the rain, you're going to be disappointed because my idea of a good time usually involves things like "burping contests" and "doing The Worm".
