Now I aint sayin' she a golddigger

Man.

I really was 'Quilled out when I wrote my last post, I hardly even remember writing it. I should delete it, but then, how would you all know that I am deathly ill?

Because, I? Am.

I always get scared when I get the flu because I had a friend, who happened to be a neighbor who once got the flu and the virus went into her heart and at 20something years old she HAD TO HAVE A HEART TRANSPLANT. She did well, until she died suddenly last year in her early 30's. She used to always tell me "get your flu shot! You don't want to end up like me."

But I never get those damn shots. And so, everytime I get sick like this, I think of Nadine and how I didn't get my flu shot and "OH MY GOD I COULD DIE."

I don't think I'll be writing until I feel better, because I really do feel awful. However, I wanted to leave you with a little something special before I shut this computer down and try to get better so as not to need a heart transplant and possibly DIE.

Proof that I wasn't lying when I said my neighbor is a trash digger.

I can only imagine what "treasure" she found today.

God, I love My Hood.

It's nice to know that people do that all over the place and not just in WV and VA! :P

Posted by: Itchy at January 3, 2006 12:12 PM

Well I wish she would dig my trash---bag-o-dog-shit and bag-o-cat-shit. Enjoy!

I wonder if she's one of those crazy freegans. That's a movement I seriously hope does not catch on, because not wanting to support certain industries is one thing. Becoming a public health nuisance is quite another.

Get better! Ride the 'Quil!
Oh my crap your neighbor is hilarious.

Posted by: Sara at January 3, 2006 01:00 PM

that is just so incredibly nasty.

get well soon, girl! xo

Posted by: girl at January 3, 2006 01:00 PM

All I can think to say is,
uh- gross.

To think of the food and nastiness on the inside of my big ole garbage can. I dont even wanna lift the lid, much less stick my arms in it.

ew.....

Hope you feel better!

Posted by: Heatherg at January 3, 2006 01:03 PM

Is that your trashcan?
I seriously think I would call the cops. That is how people steal someone's identity!

Nasty.

I am not against picking something up off the side of the road (furniture, cool stuff) but I am not digging through someone's trash!

Posted by: Mary at January 3, 2006 01:21 PM

Oh my god. Your neighbor is related to my husband's grandmother!! hahahahaha

Posted by: NinaKaye at January 3, 2006 01:34 PM

Ha ha! We once had peope digging through our huge BFI industrial garbage bin when we lived in a condo. The dad would toss his kids in to search for stuff. Turns out the kids were students at the school where I teach and they were looking for clothing and bottles. Very sad. (But I'm sure your neighbour is just a complete freak - yuck!)

Posted by: Nicole at January 3, 2006 01:50 PM

Shit, she saw me. Caught on film! AARRRGGHHHH!

Posted by: Candy at January 3, 2006 02:04 PM

Ha. BUSTED.

Seriously, she's not looking for clothes, sh'es just a tweeker who is ADDICTED TO TRASH DIGGING.

Posted by: Y at January 3, 2006 02:09 PM

Get well soon Y. Being sick sux especially when you have kids to take care of.

I just got my flu shot today due to my doc's insistence coz I am diabetic, not only flu shot I got pneumonia shot too.

Happy New Year too :)

Posted by: Mona at January 3, 2006 02:49 PM

Are those her garbage cans?

Posted by: trish at January 3, 2006 03:03 PM

Yes, in all fairness to her, they are hers. She panics on trash day and digs through them to make sure her kids didn't throw any of her "valuables" away.

BUT STILL.

Posted by: Y at January 3, 2006 03:06 PM

Feel better soon! (Although the part about your vagina hurting, I about peed my pants.)

Yuck on the trash digging, it's still gross even when it's your own.

Posted by: Katie at January 3, 2006 06:13 PM

EWWWWW!!!!! I can't even stand to open my outside trash bin due to the smell of the doggie shit that lingers in there. That is the nastiest shit ever for a neighbor to do all out in the open and proud to be siftin' through someone else's shit! YUCK!!

Anywho, hope you feel better real soon!

Posted by: Diva*Licious at January 3, 2006 06:42 PM

Oh. My. GOD.

Actually, someone once stole, like, flat out threw in the bed of a pick up and tore off with our trash can right after we put it out at the curb.

I had three kids still in diapers. They stole a weeks worth of poopy pampers. I still laugh thinking about some fool trying to steal my identity and winding up wading through three kids worth of diapers. That's my identity, mofo. Enjoy!

So that's where my old neighbor went!

Posted by: just Beth at January 3, 2006 10:06 PM

Acck you better get better girl and don't die on our ass! :)

Seriously I hope it leaves as quickly as it came, the flu sucks the BIGGEST one ever! I would rather have 10 pap smears with a shovel than have the flu for 5 minutes!!
(HUGS)

Posted by: Kay at January 4, 2006 12:55 AM

get better soon! *hugs* oh and also: happy new year :)

Posted by: kim at January 4, 2006 02:34 AM

I was gonna say... if those were your trashcans I would have turned the hose on her.

Posted by: Macca at January 4, 2006 08:31 AM

OMG, is that Terry? Is that even her name? Who's trash is she digging in? You should have called her name when you took the picture...I would have!

Posted by: tricialicious at January 4, 2006 03:07 PM

I think that;s HYSTErICAL!! If only I could take pics of what my neighbors are up to!

Posted by: mrsmogul at January 4, 2006 03:58 PM

Dude, I hope you feel better soon! I had the flu the past two weeks (yep, if you count back that's the ENTIRE HOLIDAY SEASON) and I have never been so sick. I thought I was going to die too...must be a symptom of the flu.

Posted by: Arianne at January 5, 2006 02:42 AM

SUCK IT UP, YA PUSSY!

Ok, not really. :) Get better, love. *smoosh* REST.

And wtf is up with your neighbor?

Posted by: Joelle at January 5, 2006 02:15 PM

How are you??? Still doing Nyquil shots? You'd better get well or your neighbor will start helping herself to everything inside your house.

Posted by: Debbie at January 5, 2006 06:22 PM

I have never gotten a flu shot for the following reason: A friend of mine got a flu shot and ended up with Guille Barre Syndrome. She was totally paralyzed, to the point of being on a ventilator. She did eventually recover, but had to go to rehab to learn to walk, hold a pencil, etc. Years later, she still has numbness in her feet. One of the side effects they don't tell you about.
So I am ambivalent about taking the shot. Luckily, I must have an immunity system which doesn't like the flu because I have never had it. Knock. on. wood. Hope you are soon back on your feet!

About Y
My name is Y, but you can call me "Jesse's girl." I am an Aerobic Dancer and have mastered many moves, but the one I am the most proud of is "The Monkey." I have three kids. ALL FROM THE SAME DAD (Because, did you know someone actually asked me that question?) A 15 year old son, a 11 year old son and a 4 year old daughter who was not planned but who is loved more than words could ever express. I am addicted to Starbucks, reality TV and to getting really good deals through coupons and "club member" savings (Please, respect The Costco Card.) I am extremely competive and if you don't believe me, just ask my husband about the time I sold him out to win a game of Taboo. If you're waiting for the part where I speak of my love for walks on the beach or slow dancing in the rain, you're going to be disappointed because my idea of a good time usually involves things like "burping contests" and "doing The Worm".
