(click to make the belly grow)
This is what I see when I look down. My 24 week pregnant belly (and a tatered and torn bra.) I can't believe I'm already 6 months along. The reality of it all is starting to hit fast and hard. In 16 more weeks, I'll get to meet the newest member of my family. Unbelievable.
I've scheduled another ultrasound (one I have to pay a small fee for) to determine once and for all that this baby is indeed a girl. I have this fear of pushing the kid out, only to hear, "It's a boy!" I don't need anymore surprises. The whole family will be there for this ultrasound, and it will be videotaped, so I can pop it in the vcr and watch her whenever I want to.
This pregnancy is the hardest one I've had yet. Every "possible" symptom that is listed in the month by month pregnancy guide, I have. Let's see, this month, the list goes as follows (and yes, every single one of them is happening to me)
Lower abdominal achiness (from stretching ligaments)
Constipation (duuuuuuude)
Heartburn, indigestion, flatulence, bloating
Occasional headaches, faintness or dizziness
Nasal congestion and occasional nosebleeds
bleeding gums (wanna kiss?)
hearty appetite
leg cramps (especially at night, these mother fuckers keep me awake at night)
mild swelling of ankles, hands and feet, face (you should see my nose!)
varicose veins of legs and or hemmoroids (this just adds to my sex appeal)
itchy abdomin
backaches
enlarged breasts (yeah, like I NEED THAT!)
Other than that, I feel GREAT. I just keep telling myself that this little person is totally worth it. Now if she would only hurry up and make her way out.

You're doing great, Yvonne - really! Hang in there!
