Wow...they grow up so dang quickly! Now you have me panicking...

Damn she's grown up.

Posted by: Maria at July 5, 2009 4:09 PM

You never disappoint me. Ever. Gorgeous. Congratulations (on her, not my satisfaction ;)

Posted by: amanda at July 5, 2009 7:47 PM

Wow!! This was a good year for growing!

Posted by: Tammy at July 5, 2009 8:30 PM

wow Yvonne.....I started reading your blog 3 pictures ago. I cannot believe how big that child has gotten. She is so so tall. And gorgeous.
You've done a great job....on her and this blog. Thanks for letting in to share with you.

Posted by: Kara at July 5, 2009 11:57 PM

beautiful. heartbreaking.

Posted by: Heidi at July 6, 2009 6:46 AM

Magnificent, Yvonne. Truly magnificent. I hope to see these photos each year for years to come.

Posted by: patois at July 6, 2009 7:20 AM

that last picture stunned me. there's no baby left!

Posted by: supertiff at July 6, 2009 8:36 AM

That made me a little teary eyed. They grow up way to fast, I just want to soak in every single moment.

Posted by: Leah at July 6, 2009 10:38 AM

She's getting so grown up!

Posted by: -d at July 6, 2009 1:42 PM

Wow - there was a huge jump between those last two, huh? My Chloe is 5 now, and so I can empathize with you over that little girl who now wants to be tweenish.

Posted by: Abra Leah at July 6, 2009 7:57 PM

Wow. That is really an amazing change. She's a little girl now and she's freaking adorable.

Posted by: Overflowing Brain (Katie) at July 6, 2009 8:46 PM

I love these!!!

Posted by: Aimee Greeblemonkey at July 6, 2009 10:32 PM

What a wonderful tradition! I have a friend whose mom would take a picture of her every year on her birthday with the date & time at the exact time she was born.

Posted by: Rachael at July 7, 2009 12:45 AM

And... there she goes.

Posted by: Wacky Mommy at July 7, 2009 6:10 AM

she's such a big girl--absolutely adorable, and great pictures, Mama.

Posted by: Carolyn at July 7, 2009 6:18 AM

Just lovely!

Posted by: Sky at July 7, 2009 6:17 PM

Great Idea...
I noticed that in each picture she seems to be on her toes...
Couldn't tell if that was the case in the last one.
She is just beautiful...

Posted by: Marcy at July 7, 2009 9:46 PM

Beautiful photographs of a beautiful girl.

Posted by: Kate at July 8, 2009 10:32 AM

There's something so poignant about these photos... why is that?

Posted by: Jessica - This Is Worthwhile at July 8, 2009 6:42 PM

Wow. They grow fast!

I saw a baby at swim lessons yesterday that looked SO much like a wee Gabby.

Posted by: Kyla at July 9, 2009 6:45 AM

I just love how her little tippy-toes are crossed in that third picture! So adorable.

Posted by: Christina at July 10, 2009 6:29 PM

Such a simple idea yet so lovely and gorgeous. I wish I'd thought of doing something like that with my kids. Really lovely

Posted by: shelly at July 11, 2009 9:15 AM

aw, I love this! Such a cute and simple idea!
Isn't it amazing just how much they grow from year to year?

Posted by: Krys S at July 11, 2009 10:37 AM

What an awesome idea. Wish I would have thought of something like that. It's cool to watch her grow like a weed! She's super cute.

Posted by: DeborahB at July 11, 2009 1:07 PM

I'm going to have to remember to do this one day when I have kids. Such a neat idea, really shows the growth :)

Posted by: Tara at July 12, 2009 10:20 PM

She is such a beautiful little girl and your pictures are just so perfect. LOVE your tradition!

That is a really useful and informative guide. I’m going to try and keep a copy in my bag until i get used to what to watch out for.

    About Y
My name is Y, but you can call me "Jesse's girl." I am an Aerobic Dancer and have mastered many moves, but the one I am the most proud of is "The Monkey." I have three kids. ALL FROM THE SAME DAD (Because, did you know someone actually asked me that question?) A 16 year old son, a 12 year old son and a 4 year old daughter who was not planned but who is loved more than words could ever express. I am addicted to Starbucks, reality TV and to getting really good deals through coupons and "club member" savings (Please, respect The Costco Card.) I am extremely competive and if you don't believe me, just ask my husband about the time I sold him out to win a game of Taboo. If you're waiting for the part where I speak of my love for walks on the beach or slow dancing in the rain, you're going to be disappointed because my idea of a good time usually involves things like "burping contests" and "doing The Worm".
