The Christmas Sweater Makes the Song Better

When I saw Neil's The 2009 Blogger Christmahanukwanzaakah Online Holiday Concert last year, I felt bummed that I hadn't participated. I swore that next year, I'd do it.

"Next year" has arrived and well, I did it.

So awful! I know! But! I had the best time doing it.

(My husband, on the other hand, did not. I kept forgetting the words and kept asking him to delete and start over! And he was like "this better not turn into an hour event. I have The Sing Off on pause! Hurry!" Which, basically meant that he'd rather listen to complete strangers sing on TV (more specifically, complete strangers who call themselves "Max Factor" because they are His Girlfriends. All of them.) then listen to his wife sing. But, whatever.)

All this to say, head over to Neil's to check out the concert! So many awesome performances! It will honestly be worth your time, so go! Now!

I had to watch that with my hands over my eyes... I have some sort of nervous tick. LOL I can't watch shows like AI or SYTYCD or anything involving people singing or dancing.

You sounded good though!! :-)

I love your hair with the bangs. It makes you look so much younger, that at first I thought this was going to be a video of your daughter. Seriously!

i think you sound great!

also, that is one of my favorite songs.

Posted by: mouthy_broad (michele) at December 18, 2009 8:31 AM

Your voice is beautiful! Way to rock the sweater.

Posted by: Amanda Brown at December 18, 2009 9:05 AM

First, my cred such as it is: I have most of a college degree in vocal performance.

You have a really fine voice! It's got some qualities that other people need voice lessons to develop.

Sugg you didn't ask for? Take one voice lesson, just one, or ask someone who's been trained for pointers, on breathing. You could learn it in fifteen minutes, practice it three times a week for a couple months, and you'd absolutely AMAZE people with your singing. I'm serious!

I am delurking to post this...Combine the last post with the Nacho Bar, and this post with the sex kitten singing and I am thinking that you are totally

BRITNEY SPEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am highly entertained by your blog! Highly. Entertained.

Now tell us all what happened at the party!

Posted by: Newlywifed at December 18, 2009 11:28 AM

UMM Seriously! You have an amazing voice!!!! I see where Miss G gets it!

Posted by: Jess in MI at December 18, 2009 8:22 PM

    About Y
My name is Y, but you can call me "Jesse's girl." I am an Aerobic Dancer and have mastered many moves, but the one I am the most proud of is "The Monkey." I have three kids. ALL FROM THE SAME DAD (Because, did you know someone actually asked me that question?) A 16 year old son, a 12 year old son and a 4 year old daughter who was not planned but who is loved more than words could ever express. I am addicted to Starbucks, reality TV and to getting really good deals through coupons and "club member" savings (Please, respect The Costco Card.) I am extremely competive and if you don't believe me, just ask my husband about the time I sold him out to win a game of Taboo. If you're waiting for the part where I speak of my love for walks on the beach or slow dancing in the rain, you're going to be disappointed because my idea of a good time usually involves things like "burping contests" and "doing The Worm".
