Except that you are.

I hate when people start off a sentence with “I don’t mean to be rude, but“….

If you must say that, then whatever it is that is about to come out of your mouth is more than likely rude, so either don’t say what you’re about to say, because, you “don’t mean to be rude”, or just say it and own your fucking rudeness.
I once had a lady say that to me at work, and she was being completely rude, so after she finished her whole “I don’t mean to rude, BUT…” speech, I responded with, “Well, you are rude.”

It’s simple. Don’t be rude, but if you must be rude, own your rudeness.

I don’t mean to be rude – but as someone with large tits who has breast fed two children … Ahem, if your tits itch you should be allowed to say whatever you like! Sympathy!

    Yep too true!!
It also cracks me up when I hear people start sentences with: “Well, to be honest bla bla bla…” It makes me wonder just how honest they actually are!

    Don’t bother

Comments like these: “I agree with everything that you’re saying…” “I see where you are coming from…” These kind of comments are usually followed with the word “but”, and you know what, they are really starting to annoy me. Why…

What I hate is when people say, “No offense meant.” Like, “blah, blah, blah *something totally offensive* blah, blah…no offense meant.”
Why don’t they just not be offensive in the first place?

My dad always said that whatever you say before the ‘but’ doesn’t count or doesn’t mean anything, and usually I tend to agree with that.

My response to that phrase has become, “Look, I won’t take offense at you being rude if you won’t take offendse that I am not going to continue this conversation”, and then walk away.
